Stoppage of the NFEP

1995 Feb 6- The Non-Formal Education Programme broadcast by Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation stopped and replaced by Formal Education Program. A participatory listener to the NFEP Wimal Fernando filled a fundamental case against SLBC and relife granted. This case recognized the right to every form of expression, but its protection may be invoked in combination with other express guarantees, such as the right to equality, right to obtain and information: It may even extend to a privilege not to be compelled to disclose sources of information.’
