    Description

The Press Complaints Commission of Sri Lanka (PCCSL), failing under the remit of the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), was established in 2003 as the centerpiece of the new self regulatory system. It aimed to give citizens a right to obtain redress in case of a breach of the Code of Professional Practice of the Editors’ Guild of Sri Lanka, as well as to promote and protect media freedom.
